My name is Nicole Hansen and I was plagued with hormonal issues and acne for 15 years - and yes, the two are very interconnected. At 29 years old, I went through a health crisis, bed-ridden for 60 days, unable to walk or take care of myself. Eventually I was diagnosed with Graves disease and POTS.

After visiting countless doctors, trying every treatment on the market and through lots of trial and error, I was ultimately able to fully heal myself by addressing the root issues that created all this mayhem. My goal now is to expand my knowledge in order to help others struggling with similar issues. Nothing brings me more joy than hearing people tell me I helped heal their body!

Glimpse of My Story

For anyone reading this and struggling with their skin, I want you to know that you are not alone. I understand how this can take a toll on your self-esteem and can be frustrating when you feel like you have tried every product/regimen/treatment on the market and nothing seems to work. Most importantly though, I want you to know that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. When I was a teenager, my skin started breaking out mildly and I was prescribed antibiotics plus prescription creams. By the time I was 19, my acne had gotten completely out of control where most of my face felt like toad skin. After taking birth control with zero results, I became desperate and got on Accutane- the most aggressive form of acne treatment on the market.

I took Accutane and my skin cleared up for a few years, then it came back...took it again, then it came back. I did a total of 3 rounds of Accutane. The cycle would be as follows: terrible acne for 3 months, get on Accutane, have it clear for some years then it would come back. My whole life I just kept watching the same loop play over and over again and I was sick of it. I eventually found an aesthetician in my area that had struggled with cystic acne herself and healed herself naturally. I felt a great sense of relief that I had living proof this was possible.

Then, at 29 years old, my whole world got flipped upside down as I went through a major health crisis- unable to walk or take care of myself for months. I was eventually diagnosed with Graves Disease and POTs. I went through a significant healing process during this time (mind + body). In healing my body, I also healed my skin. The thing that most people do not talk about is how acne actually starts with issues going on INSIDE our body and then manifests on our skin. It is like a signal letting us know something is off. We can not heal our skin if we do not address the root issue.

I just did not have the bandwidth to keep falling down the same rabbit hole every few years.
