MATCHA SKIN POTION RECIPE

Matcha is made from green tea leaves ground into a powder form. Matcha is more concentrated than drinking green tea since you are consuming the leaves, versus just steeping them.

Matcha is amazing for your skin because it's an antioxidant powerhouse. It has 14x more antioxidants than blueberries and 12x more than regular green tea. Matcha also contains 137x more EGCG than regular green tea which is an antioxidant that specifically combats signs of aging skin. L-Theanine found in matcha calms your body; reducing stress hormones to improve breakouts. Lastly, it contains vitamin B2, vitamin E and chlorophyll to promote clear skin, hair and joints.

Ingredients

  • 1/2- 1 tsp matcha
  • 1/4 cup of hot water
  • 1/4 cup of warmed coconut milk
  • Maple syrup or honey

Steps

  1. Boil water and pour into a mug.
  2. Add matcha powder and whisk vigorously (whisk up and down or side to side in order to create foaming affect).
  3. Pour warm coconut milk into the mug and whisk again.
  4. Add maple syrup or honey to get your desired level of sweetness.
